Robert E. Fisher, J.D.

Robert E. Fisher, J.D.

Rob focuses on giving Social Security disability clients the voice they so desire in a process that can be difficult, and at times, overwhelming for them. As a part of the Hanson and Hanson team dedicated to providing quality client service, he is a friendly face that is accessible when the client is in need. Too often do social security law firms represent clients without even meeting them, so avoid that pitfall and get your personal service with us by sending an email or calling us for a free consultation at the number displayed on the page.

Academic Background

Robert E. Fisher was raised in Minooka, IL and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. He also earned his Spanish minor and became completely bilingual by living with a host family and attending advanced classes at the prestigious Instituto San Joaquín de Flores in Costa Rica. He then attended graduate school at Illinois for his CPA Certificate and later passed the Illinois Board of Examiner’s CPA exam.

Next, Rob attended law school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned his Doctor of Law degree with a concentration in real estate. He was an active member in the Elder Law and Estate Planning Society, as well as the Business and Tax Law Association. This curriculum provided a strong background in international tax planning and estate planning.

Experience

Rob was a summer legal intern for two summers at Hanson and Hanson prior to joining the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2013. His work focuses on social security disability at both the administrative and federal level, long-term disability through pension plans and employer insurance coverage, taxation, real estate, and investor counseling.

Interests

Rob is a big Chicago Bears, Illini, and Badger fan. In his free time he has been known to use any excuse to get out on the water: whether it be fishing, waterskiing, or wakeboarding. He also enjoys reading, meeting new people, and working out. As CFO of the family Costa Rican coffee business, he enjoys trying a vast array of different coffees and travelling whenever possible.
