Social Security

Social Security is a program set up by the federal government and paid for by the FICA taken from employee pay checks.  The program provides for payments for retirement, survivor and disability benefits, hospital and medical insurance (Medicare) and Supplemental Security Income, a program for the needy aged, blind or disabled.  We can provide you with a comprehensive guide to these programs plus help in the administrative process of gaining benefits. Fees in social security cases are contingent upon a favorable decision, being 25% of the past-due benefits collected, up to a cap of $6,000.00 or what is approved by the Social Security Administration.   All fees must be approved by the Social Security Administration.   Legal services are provided at all levels of the administrative process, up to and including the Federal Courts in the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.  We may be contacted at any stage in the process.  Claims must be made in a timely manner, so prompt action must be taken in prosecuting a claim to avoid loss of anticipated benefits.

If you have other questions about the Social Security program, you can find an extensive list of information on their web site.
